LYRICS She threads a needle, he shuffles cards While their children kick a ball across the yard They'll watch a movie they've seen before Maybe rearrange the pictures on the walls While the hunters scan the tundra for moose He leaves the meeting with shattered hope Enters the bathroom, there is no soap His world's unravelling it's hardly fair All these frustrations, so much to bear While the hunters scan the tundra for moose She's caught in traffic, she's late again This age of roadworks will bring her to her end There's no reception that's nothing new There's now a deadline attached to all we do While the hunters scan the tundra for moose

about

As 2020 opens with an ill wind of environmental and health-related disasters, the continuum of concerns between the first world and its entitled leisure class, and those of the less affluent and connected, is currently narrowing. Dictated by urgency and instinct, fight or flight, primeval instincts long suppressed, the uncharitable suburban supermarket shopper snatches lustily at the remaining packet of Rigatoni, as the hunters, scan the tundra, for moose.

ISSUE TWO arrives with its tenuously linked theme of critters, creatures and insects. Moose, barfly and centipede. The accessible featured track, the cover and the instrumental. Enjoy.

Stay tuned for ISSUE THREE, due for release 20 April 2020. World events permitting.

about

FRET Sydney, Australia

Fret: Sydney's finest undiscovered band.
Involuntary recluses, empathic outlaws, FRET brings a tangerine scent to the Sydney undergrowth. From the lower Mountains to the rolling waves and north to the Hunter. From the King's X Coke sign to the village of Marricks, the dust settles in an Inner West full-body shuffle. Indie rock / post-punk seduction. Beguiling as the falling leaves. ... more
